FirstBank is a financial institution seeking a Data Governance Analyst Intern to support their data governance program. The intern will focus on data analysis and business process documentation, collaborating with stakeholders to improve data quality and assist in various data management tasks.
Responsibilities
Document current state of business and data flow processes
Interview business and technical stakeholders and document data issues, gaps, and opportunities
Identify areas to improve data quality
Assist in building metrics around data management and data quality standards
Reviews data quality issues, perform analysis, recommend fixes
Tracks and reports data quality statistics for data quality
Collects and updates business metadata and reference data
Translates business rules into data quality rules and produces data controls
Supports applications and platforms to enable effective sharing of data
Provides training and data assistance as needed
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a college degree in computer science, business administration, finance, or relevant technical, data governance or regulatory compliance experience
Self-directed and self-driven with the ability to work with others
Strong research and problem determination and solution skills
Principles of Data Analysis with some technical expertise with SQL/SAS/Python/R/etc
Ability to present technical information to business partners
