Old Republic Specialty Insurance Group is a Fortune 500 company specializing in the property and casualty marketplace. They are seeking a highly motivated Data & Analytics Intern to gain hands-on experience and support various analytics and reporting tasks.
Responsibilities
Develop statistical models and algorithms aligned with current business needs.
Support the migration of existing corporate data into reporting and analytics tools.
Design and implement new database views and datamarts.
Create and execute queries and product reports to balance warehouse and legacy production data in response to customer requests, validation, and testing completed solutions.
Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed to support team objectives.
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
Strong knowledge in mathematics and statistics.
Proficient in statistical software as SAS or R.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access and Excel) is required.
Willingness to acquire knowledge of property/casualty insurance.
Ability to learn and apply data strategy concepts effectively.
Strong time management skills and prioritizing competing tasks to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
Junior-level students are preferred.
