Canon, U.S.A., Inc. is an innovative global digital imaging leader seeking passionate students for their 2025 Canon Insights Internship Program. The internship offers hands-on experience in data analysis and business intelligence, allowing students to contribute meaningfully to Canon's business and goals.
Responsibilities
Assist in data analysis built from large datasets to enable new workflows and visualizations in a Business Intelligence Tool.
Work closely with a mentor engineer to get familiar with some key datasets to help uncover new insights and ways to bring forth key findings through visualizations and data transformations.
Help enable the ability for the data to tell the story.
Document findings, results of analysis and other relevant information.
Look for new ways to bring about innovation solutions and ideas to the table.
Be willing to take on a variety of tasks.
Qualification
Required
A current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (or above) as of the Summer 2025, enrolled in pursuit of a degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Team player and work independently.
Some hands-on relational database experience is needed.
Familiarity with SQL is required.
Some experience creating visuals in a Business Intelligence tool such as PowerBI, Tableau or Excel is required.
Ability to read and write regular expressions.
Candidate should possess a strong willingness to come up to speed on new tools and technologies.
Preferred
PowerBI is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with DAX is a plus.
Ability to write simple scripts using Python or other scripting language is a plus.
Some hands-on experience applying analytical techniques to large datasets is a plus.
Some experience using Machine Learning algorithms is a plus.
