IGT is a global leader in gaming, delivering entertaining and responsible gaming experiences. The Data Analytics & Automation Intern will partner with auditors to improve audit processes through data analytics, assist in designing data pipeline frameworks, and contribute to automation projects.
Responsibilities
Partner with internal auditors and management to assess data analytics needs and identify opportunities to improve the audit process and implement sound analytics solutions
Assist in designing and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment data pipeline frameworks
Support the development and maintenance of automated audit tests and workflows to streamline audit processes
Contribute to data analysis and automation projects, including gathering business requirements, data identification, testing and solution proposal
Assist with creating and maintaining data analytics documentation, including data sources, scripts, process flows and instructions for reproductible work
Visualize data and apply data storytelling techniques to communicate insights using tools such as Knime, R and Tableau
Deploy sound practices for data collection, handling and storage, ensuring compliance with regulatory and privacy requirements
Demonstrate understanding of data identification, data structures and data wrangling techniques
Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends and anomalies that may indicate control weaknesses or potential risks
Use data analytics to solve audit and business challenges
Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data analytics concepts
Work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Demonstrate a digital mindset and a passion for technology and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in a related field (Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, etc.)
Knowledge of data analysis and automation, including basic analytics and statistics
Familiarity with SQL, Excel, Tableau, R/Python, Knime/Alteryx
Understanding of data wrangling techniques, data structures, data mapping and profiling
Excellent communication, presentation and collaborative relationship-building skills
Motivated self-starter with a logical, yet creative and proactive mindset
Ability to manage projects, communicate progress and deliver results
