CBIZ is a professional services advisor providing accounting, tax, advisory, benefits, insurance, and technology services to middle-market businesses. The Data Analyst Intern will support healthcare consulting and Medicaid Managed Care rate-setting projects by analyzing claims and enrollment data, developing client deliverables, and creating analytical tools and reports.
Responsibilities
Assist in development of client deliverables including written documents
Manage timelines including completion of client deliverables (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.)
Ensure all work products are technically peer reviewed and submitted for consulting review
Actively communicate project status updates with internal team (junior and senior members)
Help support client teams with a combination of raw data analysis and aggregation to support external reporting
Display initiative in research beyond the specific assignment
Load, process, and analyze healthcare enrollment and claims / encounter data to support a variety of healthcare consulting projects
Qualification
Required
Intern must be working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, finance, statistics or related field
Preferred
Cumulative GPA of 3.25 strongly preferred
Interest in healthcare finance and policy
Exposure to data analytical tools (Excel, Tableau, SAS, SQL, WPS, Python) is preferred
Broad analytical knowledge necessary to generate analytical solutions
Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with others
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to fit in and work with a driven-dedicated team
