MV Transportation is a privately-owned passenger transportation contracting firm that provides paratransit services. They are seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, and science, working closely with analytics and business teams to transform data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights using SQL and data science techniques.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize data and communicate findings effectively.
Assist in data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation to ensure accuracy and quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
Contribute to ongoing projects by applying statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning methodologies.
Document workflows and maintain reports to ensure reproducibility and transparency.
Qualification
Required
Must have been enrolled or completed a master's degree in data science/ data engineering/ data analytics or business Analytics.
Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
Understanding of data science concepts, including statistical analysis and machine learning.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Preferred
Basic programming skills in Python or R for data analysis
