Kids on the Move supports the development of children under age three with special needs & offers assistance to families in the community. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to gain hands-on experience working with large datasets, performing deep analysis, and presenting actionable insights using modern tools and technologies.
Responsibilities
Write complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets
Develop Python scripts for automating data preparation and analysis workflows
Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to discover trends, patterns, and insights
Build and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports in Domo
Design intuitive data visualizations to support business strategies and initiatives
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for reporting solutions
Assist in data validation, integrity checks, and troubleshooting
Document processes, methodologies, and analysis results
Collaborate with Data Engineering and IT teams to ensure data availability and reliability
Work closely with analysts, business stakeholders, and leadership to understand data needs
Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field
Proficiency in SQL (writing complex joins, subqueries, CTEs)
Strong experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, etc.)
Familiarity with Domo or similar BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
Understanding of data wrangling, cleansing, and ETL processes
Knowledge of data visualization best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Eagerness to learn new technologies and data methodologies
