Ames Construction is a full-service general contractor with over 60 years of experience in the construction industry. They are seeking a Data Analyst Intern to support operations and the development of their cloud-based data environment, blending business analysis and data science to drive efficiency across projects.
Responsibilities
Support data entry and validation for project and safety documentation using Microsoft tools.
Use Python and SQL to query, clean, and transform project data.
Collaborate with operation teams to identify data-driven opportunities for process improvement.
Participate in the development of ETL pipelines and contribute to our data strategy.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Data, Computer Science or Similar field.
Current college junior or senior status.
Strong organizational, written, verbal and time management skills.
Detailed-orientated to recognize data discrepancies.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred
Experience or coursework in Python, SQL, or data visualization tools preferred.
Familiarity with Excel, Power BI/Tableau, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Azure/Fabric is a plus.
