Definity is an innovative company in the insurance sector, seeking a Data Analyst Co-op/Intern for Summer/Fall 2026. The role involves supporting data product design and development, performing exploratory data analysis, and collaborating with business stakeholders to create data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

Support the design and development of data products for Commercial Insurance
Perform exploratory data analysis using SQL, Python, or similar tools
Contribute to data documentation, data quality, data process controls and governance activities
Participate in requirement gathering sessions and help document business requirements
Learn and apply modern data tools, analytics practices, and Agile methodologies

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or related field
Must have at least intermediate knowledge of SQL and/or Python (academic or work experience)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Interest in data analytics, data science, or data engineering
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams

Preferred

Knowledge of GCP platform, BigQuery, JIRA, GIT tools and prior experience in P&C insurance is an asset
