John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, is a global leader in mission-critical flow control solutions for energy and process industries. The company is seeking a Business Intelligence & Commercial Tools Intern to improve commercial visibility, data quality, and business intelligence tools supporting growth opportunities across its Turbomachinery Services business. The role involves data management, workflow digitization, governance, installed base intelligence, and commercial growth analysis.
Responsibilities
Develop recommendations for ongoing data management
Create a sustainable process for maintaining data quality
Improve governance and auditability
Digitise workflow enabling tracking, reporting, and accountability
Identify commercial growth opportunities through improved installed base intelligence
Support increased adoption of the tool within the business
Increased confidence in installed base information
Enhanced visibility of customer equipment and service opportunities
Identification of commercial growth opportunities through improved installed base intelligence
Qualification
Required
* Currently pursuing or graduated with a degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
* A proactive mindset with a desire to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred
* Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, or similar digital tools is desirable
