The Business Systems & AI Solutions Intern will support the US Navy SMIT Marine Corps & OCONUS team by enhancing internal tools, streamlining workflows, integrating automation and AI, and conducting technical research.
Responsibilities
Enhance and integrate reporting tools, automation and AI
Maintain and enhance internally developed tools
Develop or support tools that analyze data to identify similar or analogous tasks
Conduct targeted research on technical services to support automation
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and macros
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task, self-assign work, and operate in a fast-paced proposal environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition of employment
Preferred
Experience with JavaScript, Visual Basic/VBA, and/or Python
Experience applying AI or generative AI tools to business or analytical problems
Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar platforms
Experience working with automation tools, data repositories, or legacy systems
Ability to remain upbeat, positive, and constructive under high-pressure deadlines
