Koppers is a global wood preservation technology company that creates safe and environmentally responsible solutions. They are seeking a Business Analytics Intern to collaborate with teams, analyze business needs, and support AI solutions through data analysis and modeling.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business needs.
Assist in analyzing business requirements and translating them into AI solutions.
Prepare and present reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations.
Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources.
Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze data and generate insights.
Support the development and implementation of AI models and algorithms.
Participate in project meetings and provide insights based on data analysis.
Assist in the evaluation of AI tools and technologies for business applications.
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Must be a rising junior or rising senior or graduate student to apply.
Strong background in statistics.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, or similar.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
Working knowledge of Azure Machine Learning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
