MediaTek is seeking an Associate Researcher for an internship aimed at students pursuing a PhD. The role involves supporting research projects in AI applications for semiconductor design and conducting fundamental research, while collaborating with senior team members and contributing to algorithm development.
Responsibilities
Support research projects by conducting experiments and collecting data
Perform literature reviews to inform ongoing research
Assist senior team members with data analysis and documentation
Contribute to the development and implementation of algorithms as part of team projects
Collaborate with researchers and engineers to explore and evaluate new ideas
Assist in preparing publications and technical reports
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and related fields
Qualification
Required
Enrolment in a PhD program in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field
Demonstrated interest in research and a background in machine learning or a related area
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Effective communication skills and ability to present complex ideas clearly
Preferred
Experience in optimization, reinforcement learning, and/or large language models (LLMs)
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX)
Previous research publications or submitted papers
