The Analyst Student position offers hands-on experience in analytics, data integrity, and business communication while working under the guidance of a mentor to support business intelligence solutions.
Responsibilities
Using analytics to gain business insight and drive improvements.
Gathering business requirements for tools, product offerings, or systems.
Data integrity solutions and best practices for data validation and verification.
Process improvements – how to successfully plan, implement, document, and train systemic changes.
Programming in Excel, SQL, Power BI, and other programs to create tools for business use.
Discovering, preparing, organizing, and analyzing data from across the enterprise to support Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions.
Ensuring data integrity in databases.
Managing and analyzing reports using internal and external programs such as Salesforce, Glovia, Windchill, and Excel.
Utilizing tools such as PowerBI to develop self-service reports and dashboards.
Understanding the business processes and how they interact with the data.
Discovering, designing, developing, and maintaining solutions using programming languages such as SQL or VBA.
Assisting with quality assurance (QA) of solutions.
Troubleshooting data issues with production solutions.
Collaborating with others to solve problems.
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Math, Statistics, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
Only strong academic performers will be considered and must maintain an acceptable GPA.
Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application.
Good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to understand and take direction on solving complex business information problems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all Daktronics information.
Ability to meet all workplace safety requirements.

Preferred
The preferred applicant will be a student registered in at least 12 credits.
The preferred applicant will be in their sophomore or junior year of school.
