Lockheed Martin is a leader in innovation and technology solutions, and they are seeking a highly motivated AI Governance Graduate Intern to join their Artificial Intelligence Center team. The intern will work on high-impact projects to help define the future of AI governance and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of responsible & ethical AI standards, policies, frameworks, and processes for Lockheed Martin
Support the operationalization of approved AI standards, policies, frameworks, and processes
Assist with internal Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) drills for Responsible AI Governance
Conduct research and provide recommendations for AI governance best practices
Qualification
Required
Completed Bachelor’s degree and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Public Policy, Public Administration, Ethics, or Business Administration
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a virtual team
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts in business-friendly terms
Prior experience analyzing and/or researching business strategies, technical governance frameworks, and/or business process frameworks
Prior experience conducting research and/or building case studies on Artificial Intelligence
Preferred
Growth mindset approach with ability to challenge the status-quo and bring new ideas to the table
Strong ability to perform independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Previous internship experience, preferably in a virtual environment
Previous Federal government or Aerospace & Defense industry experience
