Duquesne Light Company is an electric energy transmission and distribution company serving customers in southwestern Pennsylvania. The Operations Analytics Intern will work on special projects involving data analytics to support business analysis and decision-making, including safety fatigue, circuit performance, predictive analytics, vehicle use, and inspection sampling analyses.

The Operations Analytics interns will work special projects involving data analytics to support business analysis and decision making. Examples include - safety fatigue analysis, circuit performance analysis, prediction analytics, vehicle use/drive times, inspection sampling rates, etc
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be full-time, degree-seeking students enrolled in an accredited college or university and have completed their Sophomore year of studies
Candidates must be in good academic standing
Candidates must be willing to work the required schedule as defined in the job description
Demonstrated leadership ability through studies, employment or extracurricular60activities
Aptitude for problem solving; strong communication skills
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Math, Computer Science, or Information Systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
Interns must be in the immediate Pittsburgh area for the summer
