The Financial Planning & Analysis Summer 2027 Intern will complete impactful finance projects involving AI, predictive analytics, forecasting, automation, and data-rich business initiatives while collaborating across teams in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
Creation of an expense agent dashboard to standardize viewing with live data through automation with AI Commentary
Building a bottom up energy rates forecasting tool built through AI
Development of credit-driven growth initiatives to prioritize speed, precision, and provide a competitive advantage through data-rich ecosystems
Qualification
Required
Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with a graduation date between December 2027 - June 2028, and be in good academic standing
Have ability to participate in a full-time, hybrid, 10-week internship between June 2027 to August 2027
Have authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
Be willing and able to travel
Be willing and able to relocate
Demonstrate agile, clear, and persuasive written and verbal communication
Bring experiences in advanced predictive analytics & data architecture, potentially demonstrated by work in transitioning systems from historical reporting to predictive, algorithmic forecasting, behavioral data modeling, or data structuring
Have experience in utilizing AI Frameworks & Tools (LangChain, AutoGPT, Google Gemini, NotebookLM)
Preferred
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in one of the following majors: Accounting, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain or a related major
Business, Financial & Data Acumen
Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional projects, applying systems thinking, data-backed reasoning, and process simplification to solve complex problems and streamline workflows across matrixed teams
A track record of rapid skill acquisition and entrepreneurial initiative, with proven ability to leverage technical/data literacy (including AI tools) to adapt to shifting priorities, influence, and deliver customer-centric outcomes
Hybrid work arrangement with working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, set by the manager
Relocation assistance may be available if relocation is required
Participation in the Intern Marquee event in Basking Ridge, NJ, including structured networking and exposure to top executives
Eligibility to participate in Verizon's robust 401(k) Savings Plan with a dollar-for-dollar company match on the first 6% of eligible pay contributions
