As an Underwriting Intern, you will explore how Swiss Re evaluates and manages risk, gaining exposure to underwriting practices while collaborating with professionals across the organization.
Responsibilities
Learn how underwriters assess and price risks
Contribute to research and portfolio analysis
Ensure underwriting decisions are backed by accurate data and insights
Collaborate with teams across actuarial, claims, finance, and more
Participate in training sessions and networking events
Qualification
Required
Students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Strong analytical and communication skills
Detail oriented and collaborative
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Preferred
Experience with SQL, Python, R, or Power BI is a plus
