Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach is seeking a Treasury Intern who will report directly to the Corporate Treasurer and provide support to the Investments department. This role involves assisting with fixed income portfolio administration, investment documentation, reporting, and operational support while gaining exposure to bank investment activities.
Responsibilities
Assist with fixed income portfolio support, including organizing trade documentation, maintaining investment files, and helping update portfolio records
Support preparation and review of investment reports, schedules, and other materials used for internal monitoring, accounting support, and management reporting
Assist with tracking portfolio activity, including purchases, sales, maturities, calls, paydowns, interest receipts, and related documentation
Support department team members with additional tasks and projects as assigned
Follow all current departmental policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
Basic computer literacy with foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while performing repetitive tasks
Preferred
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
