The Tax Intern will assist the tax department with workpapers, documentation, process improvements, and tax research while gaining experience with financial and tax technology tools.

Responsibilities

The Tax Intern prepares, updates, and maintains certain workpapers and documentation supporting various functions within the tax department
Assists with certain tax research assignments
Assists with other administrative functions within the tax department
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled in college with a major in Tax, Accounting, Business Administration or Finance field and have completed at least thirty (30) semester credit hours
Microsoft office software experience is required
Above average written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively comprehend assignments and complete within prescribed parameters and timing
Solid organizational skills
Clear and effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside the department
Ability to make sound decisions and exercise judgment
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Preferred

Prior tax or accounting experience and data management software
