They are seeking a Summer Actuarial Intern to support pension actuaries and investment consultants with regulatory filings, data preparation, and client deliverables related to employer-sponsored pension plans.
Responsibilities
Assist with year-end regulatory filings and data preparation for pension statements and actuarial valuations
Assist with assets and plan member reconciliation
Assist with pension plan administrative tasks, such as termination/retirement and death benefit calculations and preparation of related forms and correspondence
Support analysis of investment portfolios, including performance measurement and risk metrics
Assist in preparing client presentations and investment reports
Assist with monitoring investment managers
Assist with miscellaneous client deliverables as appropriate
Qualification
Required
Currently in 3rd or 4th year of a bachelor's program in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Must have at least 2 preliminary actuarial exams with the SOA/CAS
At least one internship in a related field
Strong Quantitative And Analytical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Broad understanding of financial markets and investment principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to manage multiple deadlines
Preferred
Knowledge of VBA is an asset
