SAIC provides scientific, engineering, and systems integration and technical services and solutions in the United States. They are seeking a Stock Clerk for their customer site in North Charleston, SC, responsible for managing inventory tasks, receiving materials, and ensuring accurate reporting of discrepancies.
Responsibilities
Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures concerning stocking tasks such as receipts, invoices, weights, updating of inventory, inspection, methods of storage, etc.
Have experience in receiving, unpacking materials/supplies and reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record keeping purposes; and completing shipping and receiving reports.
Be able to move parts and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with Facility manager or facility staff engineer priorities.
Arrange transfer of materials to meet production schedules; examine material to verify type specified for current project; and compute amount of material needed for specific job orders.
Be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following:
Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis.
Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods.
Walk distances of at least one-half mile daily.
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Active DoD clearance accepted.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
