Kuehne+Nagel is a global logistics provider offering a 12-month program in international freight forwarding, commercial pricing, and supply chain operations. The Sea Logistics Pricing Intern supports customer quotations, pricing analysis, rate management, cost evaluations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support commercial decision-making.
Responsibilities
Gain a comprehensive understanding of sea logistics pricing, freight forwarding operations, and the role pricing plays in supporting global customer solutions
Learn how to prepare and support customer quotations, ensuring pricing accuracy and alignment with business requirements
Develop expertise in freight rates, surcharges, Incoterms, and key cost components that influence international transportation pricing
Work with Kuehne+Nagel pricing systems and tools to manage and analyze rate information
Assist with pricing analysis, cost evaluations, and market reviews to support commercial decision-making
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Care, and Pricing teams to understand customer requirements and support business opportunities
Build problem-solving skills by reviewing pricing data, identifying discrepancies, and helping resolve rate-related challenges
Gradually take ownership of defined pricing responsibilities while gaining experience in a global business environment
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship
Recent bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a willingness to learn complex pricing concepts
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Curiosity, initiative, and interest in building a career within global logistics and supply chain management
