Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is a leader in professional hair color and beauty supplies. The Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience with financial analysis, planning, and reporting while working on various finance projects in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities
Each finance intern will partner with an experienced finance leader who will serve as a mentor to guide how we conduct business and how tasks are completed
Communicates with business partners and key stakeholders throughout the organization as needed to complete assigned tasks
Interns will be assigned several projects giving exposure to different areas of corporate finance and operational support including segment financial analysis, P&L evaluation, close support for operational business partners, financial process documentation and KPI reporting
Specific projects can include process mapping to discover opportunities for efficiency, building financial models to support analysis and/or forecasting efforts, or comparing financial performance of key categories and brands
Partners with project manager in specific finance area to complete each assigned project
Each intern will give an end-of-summer presentation to SBH executives on one of their projects
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a major in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Some knowledge or education in General Ledger software (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a plus
Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
Proven Organizational skills
Demonstrate ability to use data to understand and analyse complex business problems
Effectively communicate financial information to non-financial business partners
Ability to work with multiple departments and various levels of management
