S&P Global is one of the world's leading providers of independent credit risk research and benchmarks. The Ratings Analytical Intern will assist in producing high-quality fundamental research, engage with senior corporate executives, and participate in a mock ratings committee project to develop credit ratings for assigned entities.
Responsibilities
Learn and understand ratings criteria and methodology
Assist with preparing required documents for rating committee and issuer management meetings
Work with assigned summer intern project teams to successfully complete and present during mock ratings committee
Provide timely and accurate quarterly financial statistics and data analysis
Assist in reporting, research, presentations and modelling
Utilize AI technologies to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights, integrating them into existing analytical frameworks
Support the team on improvement in execution and ad-hoc writing projects
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study only. All majors welcome. Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Financial Engineering, Math, Public Policy, Quantitative Analysis, Data and Statistics majors preferred
You must reside in the location of the internship throughout its entire duration
You must have the right to work in the country of proposed employment
Adept with Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Able to learn quickly, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail and organisational abilities
The ability and the desire to learn to conduct your own analysis and research, showing initiative and resourcefulness
Fluent command of English Language is essential, as is being fluent in the primary language of the country of application
Strong verbal & written communication skill
Preferred
Familiarity with AI technologies or tools, including Machine Learning Algorithms, Natural Language Processing Tools, and/or Robotic Process Automation, reflecting a forward-thinking approach
