The Purchasing Intern will support the Acquisition Purchasing Manager with administrative and operational tasks, gaining exposure to Faurecia technologies and manufacturing methods through plant visits and supplier field trips.
Responsibilities
Support in costing information for Acquisition Costing BOM
Review cost assumptions with Program & Commodity Buyers
Send/Confirm requests for quotes with suppliers
Assist with Tooling & Equipment Buyer to provide competitive cost assumptions for Manufacturing
Review Sourcing Nomination Committee (SNC) meeting notes to provide Acquisition Manager with updated carryover/sourced component information
Work with Acquisition Logistics to supply supplier footprint locations for competitive cost scenarios
Review and submit to CBU cost assumptions for active acquisition Costing BOM
Confirm capacity & tooling impacts of Carryover components
Assist in running monthly acquisition reports for management reviews
Gather data for audits
Support general purchasing commercial administrative activities
Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site

Working toward a degree in Business (Finance or Accounting concentration)
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Sophomore or Junior status
Must be able to work a minimum of 30–40 hours per week (40 hours preferred)
Self-sufficient and self-starter
Preferred
Average of more than 22 hours of online and in-person training within FORVIA University
