Swiss Re is a leading provider of reinsurance and insurance solutions. The Property & Casualty Actuarial Intern will support the US Casualty Pricing Team by evaluating complex treaties, automating data processes, and developing pricing models while gaining valuable industry experience.
Responsibilities
Support a research project using the data already collected by the company and potentially integrating forward-looking predictive analysis where no prior data is available
Automate data collection and processing using programming tools
Analyze trends and develop insights from internal and external data sources
Contribute to the development and enhancement of pricing models and tools
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Programming experience (Python strongly preferred; other languages considered)
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with Pivot Tables and Macros a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Passed at least one actuarial exam
