Onex is an investor and asset manager with a long track record of creating value for clients and shareholders. They are seeking an Accounting Summer Intern to support the finance team with various accounting and administrative tasks during an 8-week internship.
Responsibilities
Set up tax payments in various tax portals
Clean up of Microsoft Business Central – clear unposted entries, billings and unapplied credit memorandums
Update master list of accounts for new/closed bank accounts and ensure that these are tagged with the correct legal entity names
Streamline wire payment templates for our US and Canadian banks
Roll forward surveys for Statistics Canada
Prepare annual BEA Filings
Review bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations for certain entities
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a university degree in accounting (major or minor)
Strong business acumen and work ethic, with the desire, ability, and curiosity to navigate competing issues
Strong communication skills and the ability to work to complete tasks within tight deadlines
Ownership of work and desire to take tasks to the next level
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
