Capital Blue Cross is seeking highly motivated and creative individuals for their internship program. The MAR Audit Intern will assist with the testing of controls across various business areas to support the completion of regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Ability to read, understand, and update process documentation
Complete control testing steps as outlined in lead sheet
Prepare working papers consistent with standardized tickmark and documentation guidelines, in accordance with Capital Blue Cross audit department policies and procedures
Work independently or as part of a team to achieve testing objectives
Identify discrepancies that may result in deviations or exceptions
Utilize audit management application to document work completed and maintain timesheet
Communicate effectively with manager, internal audit team members and business personnel
Willingness to accept feedback to ensure completeness and consistency of workpapers
Ability to work at a computer workstation for up to 7.5 hours per day
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program in one of the following majors: Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field of study
Ability to read, understand, and update process documentation
Complete control testing steps as outlined in lead sheet
Prepare working papers consistent with standardized tickmark and documentation guidelines, in accordance with Capital Blue Cross audit department policies and procedures
Work independently or as part of a team to achieve testing objectives

Exposure to basic Microsoft Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks
Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher. (based on a 4.0 scale or equivalent thereof)
