They are seeking a highly motivated individual for an internship in the Actuarial Department, where the role includes core actuarial responsibilities as well as business growth-focused training in profitability and risk management areas.
Responsibilities
Core Valuation responsibilities may include actuarial projections, month end reporting, strategic claim cost updates, and miscellaneous Company and state reporting.
Profitability and risk management work will be more creative in nature and it will be the individual's responsibility to support the Product Actuarial department and concurrently balance multiple projects.
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics or Finance.
Have passed at least one actuarial exam administered through the Society of Actuaries
Be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SQL, or be comfortable quickly learning new programming languages or software
Have excellent oral and written communication skills
