The Investor Relations Internship offers a high-performing student the opportunity to contribute to the investor relations and sustainability practice while learning about the homebuilding industry and the company's business model.
Responsibilities
Learn internal information, help with data entry and data gathering
Opportunity to work with procurement, accounting and finance teams within Meritage Homes
Exposure to investor relations and putting together financial binders with high profile exposure to the executive management team
Research S&CR best practices
Work on earnings & board presentations
Track peer earnings and news
Complete ad-hoc projects and reports to support the VP of Investor Relations and the Investor Relations Manager, as needed
Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model and an assigned functional area such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, human resources, etc
Learn our core values and why they drive everything we do
Translate classroom experience into practical application during the internship
Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges
Present real world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategy
Write a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topic
