GlobalFoundries is a semiconductor foundry providing design, development, and fabrication services to technology companies. The Investor Relations Intern will support strategic communication with investors through market intelligence, financial analysis, shareholder research, process improvement, and evaluation of AI-enabled tools. The role also includes developing reports and presentations and presenting project outcomes to Finance leadership.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the Investor Relations and Finance teams on project-based initiatives and provide regular progress updates to the manager
Conduct research and analysis on market trends, investor targets, shareholder activity, and potential AI tools that could enhance Investor Relations processes
Support financial analysis, Excel modeling, reporting, and presentation development used for investor communications and strategic planning
Deliver a formal end-of-project presentation to Finance leadership and internship program participants
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Qualification
Required
At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship
Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing
Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
Preferred
Prior related internship or co-op experience
Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc
Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning & organizational skills
Strong analytical, research, Excel modeling, and presentation-development skills
Interest in financial markets, investor communications, market intelligence, shareholder analytics, or AI-enabled business processes
