Southside Bank is a financial institution seeking an Investment Services intern to support their Investment Services department. The intern will be responsible for client communication, appointment scheduling, client service, and administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
Initiates outbound calls to clients to schedule appointments for client reviews, confirming appointments, and responds and communicates with clients regarding issues
Handles a limited scope of client service and client account administration
Prepares department reporting as needed
Resolves issues by coordinating activities and deadlines, preparing reports, and identifying solutions
Processes correspondence, files, and performs other specific duties as needed
Functions effectively as a team player with all facets of the organization and outside partners
Utilizes internal technology (software applications) to maximum advantage in the performance of duties
Ensures all Southside policies and procedures are followed in the performance of duties
Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive Bank information
Maintains a positive and caring atmosphere for customers and employees consistent with Southside Bank’s mission, CORE Values, and Blue Book culture guide
Provides enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to Southside Bank customers and employees
Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established at Southside Bank
Responsible for complying with audit policies and procedures as they pertain to this position
Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws, and in accordance with the Bank’s Information Security Program
Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Performs routine duties using standard practices or procedures
Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, or working towards obtaining a Bachelor's degree, preferably a (B.A.) in business, finance or related area preferred
Prior experience in banking industry preferred

Constantly positions self to operate on a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing
