Nutrien is a leading provider of crop inputs and services, and they are seeking an intern for their Retail Rebate Accounting team. The internship offers hands-on experience in accounting, assisting with month-end processes, preparing reconciliations, and supporting rebate accounting activities.
Responsibilities
Assist with month-end journal entries and rebate accounting activities
Prepare and review account reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accounts
Track and allocate rebates received during the year to ensure proper accounting treatment
Work with Strategic Supply Managers on inventory protection programs allocating terms to locations carrying applicable inventory as well as working capital adjustments as needed
Research and help resolve discrepancies on monthly reporting
Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrates integrity and professionalism
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Preferred
Catastrophic coverages including life, accidental death and dismemberment, and business travel accident insurance for a position of at least three months in duration and more than 30 hours per week
