Nutrien Ag Solutions is an agribusiness company providing crop Nutrients, agricultural inputs, and related services. The Intern Internal Audit will support audit fieldwork, control reviews, risk assessments, reporting, and continuous improvement activities across key business processes during a 12-month fixed-term placement.
Responsibilities
Assist with internal audit fieldwork, reviews and testing to provide assurance over key business processes, risks and controls
Support integrated control reviews and contribute to identifying practical recommendations that address control gaps or improvement opportunities
Help gather and analyse information from business stakeholders to support audit planning, risk assessment and reporting activities
Contribute to identifying and sharing best practice across the organisation, aligned with global internal audit standards
Maintain awareness of industry trends and continuous improvement opportunities that support the broader Internal Audit function
Qualification
Required
Completed or currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems or a related discipline
Coursework or exposure across accounting, data analytics, economics, computer programming or other finance-related subjects
Interest in agribusiness or the retail sector, with exposure to internal audit, risk, controls or corporate business environments
Understanding of business processes, systems and controls, with familiarity with risk frameworks or internal control principles such as the COSO Integrated Framework
Analytical thinking, problem-solving capability and sound academic aptitude
Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders across different levels of the business
Ability to plan, contribute to and support internal audit engagements and fieldwork
Commercial awareness, curiosity and a genuine interest in contributing to continuous improvement
Willingness to share knowledge with the broader Internal Audit team across Australia and North America
Ability to travel to branches from time to time, where required
