Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a Financial Planning Internship position. The Intern, Financial Planning is responsible for assisting Financial Partners in their responsibilities of supporting various functions through technological investments and managing financial activities related to the Technology function.
Responsibilities
Participate in the budgeting and planning process to be aligned with business needs, as well as communicated adequately with each budget owner
Ensure management reporting and financial management processes are accurate and relevant to business, as well as drive business performance
Manage financial impact of projects including the preparation of a business case, monitoring the project scope, timeline, budget, benefits, and explaining the variances
Ensure compliance to controls and good governance are in place and apply CN’s best practices continue
Participate in processes improvement and optimization initiatives to deliver cost savings and efficiency gains.
