Coherent is a global leader in lasers and engineered materials, seeking an Intern, Financial Analyst to support their financial analysis efforts. The role involves assisting in evaluating pricing initiatives, measuring sales performance, and preparing reports to share data insights.
Responsibilities
Assist in evaluating the performance of pricing initiatives and contributing to reports that summarize findings.
Support the Sales Commission Manager by gathering and organizing data to measure sales performance and validate commissions.
Help analyze and track sales expenses, contributing to forecasting activities.
Prepare simple reports and presentations to share data insights with team members.
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Basic proficiency in Excel and an interest in learning data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Clear communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently on assigned tasks.
Basic knowledge of financial principles and data analysis techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to interpret and analyze data to identify trends and patterns.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
