Tiffany & Co. is a renowned company founded in 1837, known for its exceptional gemstones. They are seeking a Finance Intern to support the Finance & Business Development Department while gaining experience in finance and accounting.
Responsibilities
Support sustainable growth in Latin America & Caribbean region with financial analysis, what-if scenarios, pro-forma studies, key performance indicators reporting to LATAM leadership team.
Data Mining to support variance analysis/explanations for the Caribbean region. Assure all business units are closed on time with no missing entries (such as monthly accruals).
Assist on the preparing presentations/reports to senior management on a monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis.
Assist on communication and knowledge transfer of operation and finance KPIs to team.
Prepare and/or review account reconciliations of all accounting cycles (e. g. bank, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, etc.), ensuring that complete and accurate support, as well as thorough analysis of account balances is available.
Prepare, review, upload, and post journal entries maintaining proper documentation.
Assist in month-end financial closing.
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations as well as explain reconciling items.
Qualification
Required
Advanced Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be discrete due to exposure of highly confidential client information
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Must have excellent organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment
Positive attitude to achieve goals and deliver results
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business
Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)
Basic Accounting Skills
Preferred
Hyperion and SAP Business Intelligence knowledge
Previous retail or consumer goods internships
