National Bank of Canada is offering an internship in their commercial financing team, where interns will work closely with financing solutions and account managers. The role involves analyzing loans, structuring credit applications, and collaborating with various teams to enhance client financing solutions.
Responsibilities
Analyze maturing loans according to internal standards and make recommendations tailored to clients' needs
Structure credit applications in collaboration with the Account Manager, mitigating risks and developing responsible financing scenarios
Obtain and integrate comments from account teams to ensure compliance with files in terms of profitability, presentation quality and risk assessment
Negotiate certain credit terms and conditions with the Credit Centre, jointly with the Account Manager
Work with business development, support and internal partners to identify cross-selling opportunities
Contribute to the objectives for setting up credit for new financing and actively participate in projects to continuously improve internal processes
Qualification
Required
Be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Administration in 2nd or 3rd year or a related Master's degree (in progress)
Ability to write and analyse financial files
Ability to analyse and synthesise complex information, with attention to detail, good organisational skills and a proactive approach
Intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit, combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional required languages: English, French
Preferred
A good understanding of banking products, systems and services (an asset)
First experience or strong curiosity in financial analysis, accounting or risk management
