They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support their tax department, assisting with tax preparation, research, data analysis, and administrative tasks while gaining hands-on experience in corporate tax functions.
Responsibilities
Assist with preparation of federal, provincial/state, and local tax filings
Organize and review financial records and tax documentation
Support tax staff with data entry and reconciliation tasks
Conduct basic tax research using internal and external resources
Help prepare working papers and audit support schedules
Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred
Prior internship, accounting coursework, or tax exposure is a plus, but not required
