USA Compression Partners, LP is a mission-critical natural gas compression services provider with over 1,400 employees across 18 states in the US. They are seeking an Accounting and Finance Intern to gain hands-on experience in general and operational accounting, working on tasks such as account reconciliations and financial analysis.
Responsibilities
Create AR Third Party Billing Report of all open balances in SAP to analyze open Invoice status, confirm submission, and resolve discrepancies
Perform corporate accounting duties and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Support the FP&A team with day-to-day activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting, helping translate financial data into actionable business insights
Performing account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of the general ledger and related sub-ledgers
Analyze financial results for key drivers in variances related to operational performance
Partnering with cross-functional teams to support the monthly accounting close process
Compile financial data and assist with creating internal and external reporting packages
Gain knowledge of various accounting automation systems and apply newly acquired skills to real-world projects
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in college majoring in Accounting or Finance
Preferably junior status as of Fall 2026
General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies
Above average GPA
Preferred
Completion of introductory level accounting and/or finance courses before the commencement of the internship
Strong computer and advanced Excel skills preferred
Must possess a strong willingness to learn
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast paced environment
Must be a team player, and able to work effectively with a diverse workforce and with various levels within the organization
