POOLCORP is a distributor of outdoor living products. The FP&A Intern will evaluate large amounts of data, provide insights into business performance and trends, conduct ad-hoc financial analyses, and prepare materials for senior management and field and corporate support teams.
Responsibilities
Prepares financial reports by collecting, formatting, and analyzing data to help understand and forecast sales, gross margin, and expense trends
Builds financial databases by identifying sources of information and assembling, verifying, and backing up data
Monitors key performance indicators, performs root cause analysis, and evaluates business and process improvement opportunities
Provides ad-hoc financial analysis to assist decision making for executive management
Prepares reports used in monthly financial close processes
Works in a team-based setting to provide financial and operational value-add reports for utilization by field and support management
Comfortable working with large datasets and translating complex data into actionable insights
Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Qualification
Required
Working towards completion of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer science or Data Analytics
Advanced knowledge of Excel, data query and reporting tools
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and accounting skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast paced, deadline-driven work environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
Experience with Power BI a plus
