CSW Industrials Inc. is seeking an FP&A Intern to design and implement a centralized Cost-Volume-Profit analysis tool. The role will support financial planning, pricing decisions, and profitability analysis, enabling the finance team to model relationships between costs, volume, pricing, and margins.
Responsibilities
Standardize CVP analysis across products, customers, and business units
Improve speed and accuracy of profitability and breakeven analysis
Enable scenario modeling for pricing changes, volume shifts, and cost structures
Provide finance and leadership with clear, decision‑ready insights
Consolidate fixed and variable cost inputs in a structured, auditable format
Support multiple scenarios (base, upside, downside, what‑if analyses)
Calculate key metrics including contribution margin, breakeven volume, and target profit volumes
Allow analysis by product, customer, region, or business line
Provide clear visual outputs (charts, tables, and summaries) for management reporting
Reduce manual effort and errors in financial analysis
Improve consistency and transparency in profitability discussions
Enable faster, data‑driven decisions related to pricing, cost management, and growth strategies
Strengthen support for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
Build Excel or Tableau tool and save on share drive for finance team to use for flux analysis monthly
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Customer-focused with a professional and positive attitude
Ability to lift, move, and organize files and boxes (up to ~25 lbs)
Ability to stand, bend, and move during organization projects
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
