Siemens is a global provider of rail transportation technology, delivering rolling stock, rail infrastructure, services, and signaling solutions. The Financial Technologies Intern will support the Mobility Americas Treasury Team by gaining practical experience in treasury and financial topics, technology-enabled process improvement, data reconciliation, workflow support, and digital automation. The role also provides exposure to commercial activities such as bid preparation and project management.
Responsibilities
Work with internal and external finance professionals and IT technical professionals through shadowing and the assignment of relevant tasks to build practical knowledge
Interface with different areas of the Treasury and Mobility organization and learn about how collaboration and teamwork drive success. Gain insight into Treasury/financial products and functions through technology-enabled process improvement, including exposure to guaranties/surety, Siemens applications and tools, data reconciliation, workflow support, AI tools such as Copilot/Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI

Availability: This role is intended to begin in August / September 2026. The position is designed for a part‑time basis (minimum 12–16 hours/week) during the academic year with the possibility for a full-time intern position during Summer 2027
During the academic year, the preferred schedule is 1-2 days per week onsite in our Midtown New York City office, with remote work opportunities possible based on business needs and individual schedules
Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear process, data, or technology-enabled solutions
Must reside or go to school near the internship location in New York City area
