They are seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to provide support in financial analysis and planning for the Global Research & Development team, managing finances for innovative engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the business partner areas as a Financial Analyst for R&D
Consolidate WW R&D spending for Seagate, including preparation of executive review packages
Hold responsibility for Capital Management for the Shakopee and Longmont locations, to include physical inventory, tagging of assets and approving capital requests
Support compliance with SOX requirements as well as improvement of internal controls
Perform monthly spending reviews and forecasts and prepare quarterly budgets
Prepare and present financial information to support effective organizational decision making
Qualification
Required
Current student in a Bachelor's program and returning for classes in Fall 2025
Forecasting and planning utilizing financial models
Financial reporting and decision support
Budgeting and expense planning
Spending analysis
Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge
Strong analytical and data gathering skills
Proven fluency with Excel formulas and functions
Motivated and a self-starter
Enthusiasm to learn in a fast-paced environment
Accomplished written and verbal communications with various professional levels
Analytical prowess, strategic thinker and attention to detail
High standards and accuracy rate with ability to work under tight deadlines
Solid organizational and follow-up skills
