Finance & Operations Analyst Intern (Summer 2027)

GlobalFoundries is a semiconductor foundry providing design, development, and fabrication services to technology companies. The Finance & Operations Analyst Intern will support financial analysis, reporting, planning, and business operations by analyzing data, improving processes, tracking performance, and providing insights for business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and operational analysis activities based on the needs of the assigned team or project
  • Analyze financial and operational data, key performance indicators, trends, and variances; summarize findings and provide clear, actionable insights
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support business processes, project execution, resource planning, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain reports, presentations, models, reconciliations, documentation, and a final project summary while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Qualification

Required

  • Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Managements or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship

Preferred

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize and interpret financial or operational information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to financial systems, ERP platforms, data visualization tools, or financial modeling is a plus
