CSX is a Fortune 500 company seeking future business leaders to help foster growth, efficiency and innovation. Interns are placed within the Finance Department for a 10 week immersion into CSX methods and culture, completing challenging real-world assignments to improve decision-making and financial performance.
Responsibilities
Cultivating relationships with internal business partners to analyze marketing, operating, and capital projects and understand economic tradeoffs to help make real-time business decisions
Providing analytical support for operations reviews, resource allocations, and financial valuations
Guiding the development of short- and long-term forecasts, plans, and strategies
Developing and utilizing financial models to quantify benefits and drive sound, fact-based economic decisions
Consulting and communicating analyses through presentations to senior management in the department and business partners from other departments
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related major field of study from an accredited institution
Must be going into the final year of your undergraduate or graduate program in the summer of 2026, with an anticipated graduation date in Spring 2027
Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.2 (based on a 4-point scale)
Work inside an office environment
Communicate effectively with senior leadership/executive audiences
Work within established deadlines
Successfully complete a background check and drug test
Preferred
Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4-point scale)
CSX provides optional intern housing for the duration of the 10-week program, as long as the selected intern meets eligibility criteria
