Centrica is hiring a Finance Intern for a year-long placement. The intern will contribute to finance projects and gain experience supporting investment, business performance and decision-making across areas such as accounting, commercial finance, business partnering, planning and corporate finance.
Responsibilities
As a Finance Intern, you'll spend a year gaining hands-on experience and working on meaningful projects that contribute to real business outcomes
From day one, you'll be part of the team, tackling genuine challenges and building valuable technical and professional skills
During your Year in Industry, you’ll gain hands-on experience in an area such as Accounting, Commercial Finance, Business Partnering, Planning or Corporate Finance
You’ll contribute to real work, develop your analytical and commercial skills and build your understanding of how Finance supports decision-making across the business
You’ll also explore how data, automation and new technology are changing Finance, while gaining valuable experience that can help shape your future career
Qualification
Required
Expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (2:2 if combined with a Masters)
Have the right to work in the UK, prior to commencing work
Curious, proactive and keen to learn
Available to start in June 2027
Preferred
12-months hands-on experience working in a dedicated area of the Finance Team
