Post Holdings, through Bob Evans Foods, is a consumer-packaged goods company producing refrigerated meal sides, sausage, and egg products. The Finance Intern will participate in a 10-week program supporting financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, data analysis, reconciliations, business research, and process improvement projects.
Responsibilities
Assist with financial data entry, transaction support, and financial record updates
Support variance and trend analysis to help the team understand business performance
Gain exposure to reconciliation activities and supporting accuracy checks
Conduct research on business trends and market conditions for assigned finance projects
Support ad-hoc projects, special assignments, and process improvement learning opportunities
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Must have completed at least sophomore year coursework
Strong academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or above preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial or ERP systems preferred
Developing analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to work collaboratively, take ownership of assigned tasks, and partner effectively with peers and cross-functional teams
Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, clear communication, and professionalism
Self-motivated, able to follow through on assigned work, ask thoughtful questions, and seek guidance when needed
Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially
Preferred
Prior internship, part-time, or project experience in finance/accounting preferred but not required
Gain knowledge and insight into budgeting and forecasting processes
Exposure to financial technology and enterprise software
Hands-on experience with ERP systems, including Oracle and SAP
Develop analytical skills by interpreting data and drawing conclusions
Strengthen problem-solving abilities while learning to navigate organizational culture
Participate in projects that provide exposure to business performance and operational efficiency
Collaborate with finance and cross-functional partners through assigned projects and learning opportunities
Build a professional network across multiple areas of the organization
