Methode Electronics is a leading developer of custom-engineered and application-specific products and solutions. They are seeking a Finance Intern to support SEC reporting, financial compliance, and corporate accounting processes, providing hands-on experience in public company financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and reviewing SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
Support financial statement analysis and disclosures to ensure compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP.
Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data and footnotes used in external reporting.
Conduct research on SEC reporting standards, accounting policies, and regulatory updates.
Assist in SOX compliance documentation and process improvements related to financial reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Accounting, FP&A, Legal) to support financial reporting tasks.
Support month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist in financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting to support corporate finance initiatives.
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial disclosures
